I was born in India's capital city, New Delhi. Throughout my life I stayed in Delhi enjoying the historical and cultural center of the counrty. The weather was bad although, especially in summers. Anyways, I went to IIT-Delhi for my undergraduate where I spent four fun filled years in the Electrical Engineering Department finally graduating in summer 1998. Then I moved to the United States for my Masters in Computer Engineering at Northwestern University which is located close to Chicago. The winters were pathetic. I got my MS in June 2000 and moved to the Computer Science Department of UCLA for a PhD. Doing a PhD and staying in LA were both fun and memorable. I got my PhD in August 2002 and am currently an Assistant Professor at the ECE department of University of Maryland.
