ByteGrid and MAX Enabling Super Computing with High Capacity Data Center and Networks
ByteGrid's CTO, Jason Silva, will discuss how Life Sciences and Research and Education can leverage the terabit advanced networking infrastructure resources within ByteGrid's Silver Spring, Maryland colocation facility.
The MAX regional network provides extremely high-speed access to the larger national and global R&E network infrastructure, including multiple 100-Gbps connections to the Internet2 network and other high-performance wide area network infrastructures. MAX and ByteGrid's partnership provides a much-needed resource to members of the local life sciences research community by helping them integrate massive storage archives (typically involving petabytes of data) with high-performance compute and network requirements.
Mr. Silva will give an overview of the data center facility, its compliance alignment and discuss the best manner for interested Life Sciences and R&E to leverage the high speed cyberplatform. Mr. Silva will also provide insights into future projects between the two organizations.
