About Me

I am a world traveler, philanthropist, and scientist all wrapped up in one. Since I was very little, my parents opened the door for me to explore the world. I have taken every oppurtunity presented to me to fully see the world around me and make it a better place. I fully believe that one person can make a difference.

In 2004, I came to the University of Maryland to earn a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering under the direction of Dr. Gary Rubloff.   As a member of Dr. Rubloff's group, I have been exposed to several interesting areas of research including chemical vapor deposition (CVD), atomic layer deposition (ALD), various microprocessing techniques applicable to the MEMS and Semiconductor industries, as well as enzymatic reactions and cell respiration within microfluidic channels.
