Hi. This is my page, such as it is. Thanks for stopping by. You're looking at one relatively recent photo and another taken quite a while ago. You can click on either one for a larger, more detailed view. I'm currently the Manager of the University of Maryland's (UMD) Office of Information Technology (OIT) Distributed Computing Services (DCS) group. We're responsible for the health and well-being of a few hundred Unix/Linux servers, as well as the campus Kerberos and AFS infrastructure. We refer to this environment as Glue. I'm also Interim Manager of the Enterprise Storage and Backup group, which is currently engaged in a large SAN infrastructure upgrade and expansion.

Then there are my non-work related roles: husband, father, son, brother, perpetual student (with a number of degrees to show for it), guitarist, songwriter, singer (well, that depends on who you ask), theater-goer, devotee of films of all kinds, and probably a bunch of other things, too, though I find it harder and harder to squeeze any more activities into what seems like less and less free time.

Can't think of anything else to say at this time.
