For each session this syllabus shows the top-level topics that we plan to cover, the pages in Modern Information Retrieval and links to other required readings that should be read by all students before class and the assignments that students registered for LBSC 708A or CMSC 838L are required to complete. All homework and programming assignments are due at the beginning of class. The slides link will take you to the Powerpoint slides for the indicated session, and a link to video for each session will provided if possible (sometimes the RealVideo recording does not work).
