From Rosemead Place, Colombo 7, here are the Top Ten other
things "nullified" by the Sri Lankan Parliament.
10. Vijaya Kumaratunga's death. (This nullification was later cancelled
as per the request of presidential adviser Sanath Goonetillake.)
9. The 1977 General Election.
8. All the cement stories in the press.
7. The entire year 1971 as per requests of certain Presidential advisors
who, incidentally, were on the "lecture circuit" at that time.
6. "ha~l polu" and "pa~n po~lim" of the years 1970-1977.
5. The ticking of the clock whenever the President is/has been late.
(This nullification holds for all past AND future such occurrences.)
4. All the past power-cuts until yesterday.
3. Item number 3 of this Top Ten list.
