My name is Purushottam Vittal Shetty but most of my friends call me either Puru or Shetty. I am a graduate student at University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP). My graduate major is Computer Engineering. I am from Mumbai, India which is also known as the commercial capital of the country and is one of the most populated cities of the world.

Regarding my interests, I am an electronics hobbyist, specially crazy about microprocessors/microcontrollers. I have been into circuit designing for quite some time now and I am going to put up some of my projects on this site for display. I would love to interact with like minded souls in this field and if you are one, just mail me.

Apart from electronics, films are my second passion. I dont have any particular favorites but I like the works of Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, Akira Kurosawa, Mani Ratnam, Brian DePalma, Ramgopal Verma, Stanley Kubrick, Roman Polanski. Amongst actors Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Manoj Vajpayee, Al Pacino, Shabana Aazmi, Robert Downey Jr., Bill Murray, Joe Pesci are my favorites.
